From Classroom Project to Patented Innovation:

Prithwiraj’s journey began as part of a semester project on “Sustainable Future: Innovation with Indigenous Knowledge.” Fascinated by Channapatna’s 200‑year‑old wooden toy tradition, he spent weeks visiting artisans, learning lacquer techniques, and experimenting with local materials. By February 2024, he had built his first prototype. Two months later, he filed for an international design patent—and by July 2025, Olavu’s unique design was officially protected.
